I got stuck on Absolute Radiance and my thumbs took a break and haven’t made it back yet. It’s been at least a year.

Huh. I bought a few shares a month or two ago after being annoyed at nVidia. Wasn’t expecting to look at it today and see this. Wonder what happened.

If I understand it correctly, it’s the use of negative framing of another person’s physical attributes or demeanor, constructed in the hope the receiver of the “negging” has low enough self-esteem to agree with the assessment and will assume the asshole is a person of higher intrinsic worth.

I dunno, I more often see this phrase combined with masturbation to porn the user cannot believe they masturbated to afterward. There is a sense of clarity following ejaculation, but it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with a sexual partner or their perceived attractiveness.

I disagree with your takes sometimes (although not since I switched to PieFed), but you always have an argument and I’ve never seen you have one I couldn’t see any merit in. As good as it gets, imo.

You figured it out earlier than I did. I remember “voting” third party in my middle school’s presidential tally because the republican candidate wasn’t “conservative enough.”

It’s easy to be shaped by the opinions of your family when you’re young — your brain isn’t fully developed and they’re your unit. Once you started experiencing other perspectives, and realized they made more sense, you changed. It took me until undergrad to realize my previous beliefs made no sense. Give yourself credit, and stay curious.

I think Mlem does, although I usually swipe down to close an image from view so I’m not sure about up. I definitely swipe sideways to go back, but it’s been a bit hit-or-miss since the new iPadOS uses this in the corners to shrink an application for some reason I can’t fathom.

This sounds like they did you a solid by not working. I’ll have to look up this genre of shooter, though; not something I’ve heard of before. I tend to be too easily annoyed for anything that isn’t single-player or local co-op these days, although some part of me still remembers some MMOs though rose-colored nostalgia glasses.

This may be the first time I haven’t fallen into the subset of “everybody.”

Everything I want to play runs using Linux/proton. It seems like the only things that have trouble are things I’d never consider even installing, let alone running.

I mean I don’t think this’ll work, but I don’t really get why anyone is mad about it. It was a little difficult to get used to but not exactly impossible. Seems like harmless fun.
