Oh, I agree. My comment really hinges on the idea that it actually works. Which I doubt immensely haha.

Thank you very much! One of them is definitely shaping up to be quite promising. :)
I have to have a protein focused breakfast, so usually some form of eggs. I have a lot of crustless quiches, scrambled eggs, omelets. Good thing I like them so much!
If I ever develop an egg allergy I am completely fucked lol
I did well on a couple interviews today so I walked down to the local cafe and had a chai latte and a maple bar.
Tomorrow, if I do well on that interview, I’ll go walk downtown and get lunch at the local thai restaurant I like!
I try to never underestimate what people are willing to do, like, and put up with for whatever reasons.
Considering how un-tech savvy newer generations are, I would not be shocked if the idea of being able to tell a computer what to do and “it just does it” appeals. This is, of course, assuming it works as intended (lol.)
I also see this as a further dumbing down of that ability to understand tech. Hypothetically, if this were to launch, go mainstream, and the vast majority of future computer users use it, can you imagine a world in which a future teenager looks confused and goes, “What’s an app?”
I listened to a Dark History podcast episode on Booth and I’m not sure people would be as shocked as you’d think haha.
Does getting laid off because a vulture company scooped up the place I was working, harvested the minimum wage workers, and fired everyone with a salary once they were done scraping our institutional knowledge out count?
My players and I all love to roleplay so we’re fine with this sort of thing. That said; generally I encourage a little roleplay up front, then we see the roll. Then depending on whoever thinks of the funniest outcome first, the player either adds something to reflect the roll’s outcome, or I find some reason why whatever they said up front did/didn’t work. Either way, it’s great fun for all of us!
On the rare occasion I run for a different/new table though? Nope, not unless I see the players showing initiative by roleplaying without my prompting, I’ll assume we’re here to play it straight.
Why is weight a disqualifier?
Correct!
“I gave Amazon my money and I’m mad, so I’m going to give even more money to another billionaire corp.”
"And now, ignorant whale-lovers, we’ll see who’s boss when I make Mushu jump through this hoop! Jump, Mushu! "
Not permanently but I still appreciate the counter-buffs when they get cast. :)
Is it strange I do sometimes think about things like that? Not all the time thankfully, but it is one of those ‘what if?’ scenarios that pop up now and then.
I appreciate the optimism; it definitely feels permanent because I’m in the thick of a rough patch right now, but your comment did remind me that all things change eventually. (It’s a little boost of positivity if nothing else)
Another one I didn’t know existed!
Oh! I didn’t even know that community existed!
At this point someone needs to make the obvious church schism official and slap a new name on them. Would be mildly interesting to see how these people reacted to being branded official heretics and told to take their ball and go home.
Given the amount of people still proudly sporting Trump merch in the rural area I live, I do think he’d still win. I literally don’t understand these people, the sheer lack of… anything. Awareness. Empathy. Self-preservation!?
The only person I vaguely know well enough to take a crack at why she’s like this, is because she herself is a raging narcissist who wants to be special and feel special. So she aligns her views with the person who tells her “You’re special!” and gives her that desperate validation. Morals become secondary to feeling good rather than being the source of it. It’s incredibly sad.
Thank you! And definitely the same for me. Just like my cat, I am very food driven.
