Lying by omission is still lying. Even if everything to come out of the NK government is 100% true, it can still be dishonest if they cut away all the parts that make them look bad, and it is still propaganda. That is what comes of heavily controlled tours and journalism, not open bald-faced lies.

I doubt any of the unredacted portions of the Epstein files are deliberately falsified, but you don’t see me saying that their release was an honest move.

Not what I’m saying at all. The examples you gave are ridiculous and I’ve never heard anyone claim those. I’m talking basic shit like North Korea not allowing people to escape the country, and visits there being heavily chaperoned, so the only coverage is either directly from the North Korean government or from controlled journalism (or western propaganda). But I still see government “news” posted on hexbear and y’all treat it like 100% truth.

I feel like a lot of people are taking the post too literally (or maybe I’m not). I once knew a girl who posted a photo of her dad watching football on a plane captioned “Persian dads really need their football lol” and it’s like. That’s just a universal dad thing. Honestly, it doesn’t look like AI to me. Funnily enough I think it’s exactly what the other reply said and it’s just badly photoshopped text on an existing image. But I do think their reasons for thinking it’s real are pretty terrible, and I still think the things I listed are sus, as they don’t look like typical artifacting to me.

In particular the detail on the ceiling in the background is quite clear and the spacing between the lights is consistent, and most other details seem to check out (the guy’s watch and clothes, people and stands in the background, veins on their hands, etc).

As a whole I would say it looks a bit uncanny just because of their poses and facial expressions, plus the weird design of the sign.
