To be clear, the civil war in Iran is happening with or without US Support. It’s the consequences of Ayatollah’s shit leadership and failure to adapt. As are its hostilities with the USA and Israel. This isn’t the “fuck around” phase, it’s the “find out” phase.
Now, as a consequentialist, I think it’s prudent to figure out what brings the best most immediate end to all of this. I think that’s supporting the Iranian revolutionaries with everything we have to offer.
There are already worlds where Egypt and Jordan are on non-enemy terms with USA, though with Israel is questionable because that requires a hypothetical world where Iran never funneled weapons and money to extremists in Palestine and whether or not that had any impact on Israel’s actions and therefor international relationships, but the point being:
Iran only dug its own grave by allowing autocracy and allying with other autocrats.
There are already worlds where Egypt and Jordan are on non-enemy terms with USA
Because they’re run by pro-American dictatorships (more complex in Jordan’s case tbf) bought off by American money, which only proves my point. Both Egypt and Jordan are American vassal states and not independent in any real sense of the word.
Egypt and Jordan being run by America is a new one.
You realize POTUS Obama criticized the Egypt leadership in 2013 for using force against their opposition the Muslim Brotherhood, suspending joint military cooperation? Things haven’t really gotten much better since then, either, but the EU have stepped up with a cooperation agreement in 2024.
I’m not even going to address the absurdity of claiming Jordan is a US Puppet.
At the cost of, you know, hundreds of thousands dead and millions displaced. Fuck you and anyone who thinks this is okay and death to America.

There’s no world where an independent Iran isn’t hostile to the US and Israel; they’re too much of a threat to US-Israeli regional hegemony.
Because that worked so well in Afghanistan.

What’s mossad’s payscale by the way?
Is it prudent do bomb schoolchildren? Cause that’s what we did today
It’s not even prudent to bomb Tehran, since Ayatollah isn’t there.
That’s a prime example of why we need the War Powers resolution and for Congress to run the show not the POTUS.
