For months I’ve been joking that this is the war one would expect when it’s being run by two unqualified TV show hosts, but with each passing day, it’s clear to me that this is the war one would expect when you’re an entitled, little shit-eating rich kid who was always able to get daddy to fight your battles for you.
Donald has never had to earn anything for himself, so why would he listen to smarter people on foreign policy or war? This is a man who can’t contextualize losing, because his entire existence was constructed around making sure he got his fucking big mac just because he’d scream like a little bitch until that greasy burger was in his mouth.
Ultimately, though, as much as it’s going to hurt the US economic situation going forward, it’s probably a good thing for the world that the US military got its ass kicked, and that ‘bombing them back to the stone age’ has, yet again, proven to be a strategy that simply does not work in the age of modern warfare. I am sick and fucking tired of watching the US devastate whole countries, bomb schools, and wreak havoc throughout the world without any meaningful pushback here on the home front, so maybe the rest of the world pushing back will be the solution.
