New 'Lucifer Bee' species discovered in Australia - UPI.com

The "Lucifer" bee, or Megachile lucifer, was discovered 2019 in the Goldfields region of western Australia. DNA testing conclusively proved it did not belong to other species.

This was from 2019, but TL;DR:

The bee is not dangerous, the scientist just thought its “horns” were cute while watching the Netflix show Lucifer.
