Trump’s said some truly bizarre shit about magnets, but the “Now, nobody knows what a magnet is.”, is him showing off how smart he is because he knows how important they are to industry.

Somebody whispered in his ear that rare earths are needed for making magnets, magnets are important, China has halted exports. He then goes on to say he bullied Xi on the issue. I’m sure that will work just dandy. 🙄

Reading the quote from later in the day, I think he’s saying no one knows how to make magnets? Or no one knows how to spin up our own industry? Fuck I know.
