This doesn’t really make much sense to me, why wouldn’t you play through the game before touching the DLC?
Avid gamer and lover of anime. Kallipygos is my figure of faith. Also, I’m a tree.

Thing is, most of the discussion online is guided by reviews from major publications. If someone like SkillUp says the game is good then there will generally be a positive discussion about that game. Personally, I haven’t played it nor do I ever really plan on playing it. Something about it just doesn’t catch me eye the way certain games do, I feel like I’d have a similar experience to you if I did play it.

You sounds like an asshole, but you’re partially right. Speaking of the people who buy FIFA every year without as much of a second thought. They people who very casually just buy into games they have a passing interest in.
But I’m not so sure that crowd makes up a majority anymore.

As we had all feared. Now that we know this for certain, I wonder what other nasty tricks The Chinese Room will try to pull with this game…

This is the way.

They keep swinging and they keep hitting man, good for Hello Games, they turned a sinking ship around. Now if only the rest of the games industry could do the same.

This is the easy answer, but the industry won’t do it.

It’s really happening. Next, Valve is going to announce third installments for their franchises.
People who play video games and watch movies are happier in life, and this is news to who exactly?

Rip, at least we still have Judas.

I agree, release Gravity Rush on PC!
This will be me when I have children and I am not sorry.
I’ll help them build that foundational understanding of what games were and then if they still wanna play the modern bs, they can.

It’s just the context and the way he said it.

I really hope not. Though in saying that, I’ll probably wait for the PC drop anyways.

But do we reeeeeaally trust them? Don’t get me wrong, I like them for their analysis games, but I just really don’t like when they put up opinion pieces about games, like I still remember that comment about Stellar Blade being a gooner game. Maybe if they tried it, they’d have seen more than just the surface level stuff in the game. Not to mention the Cyberpunk review that they took down saying that the game ran fine at 1080p (unstable)30fps, as if the standard wasn’t already 60fps at the time, not to mention that they tried to gaslight people into saying the game wasn’t as buggy as people were claiming.
I don’t watch their videos because of stuff like that. But good for them going independant, that’s always good when you can safely support yourself financially.
As far as I’m aware it’s like standalone in the sense that it’s separate from the main game, like you access it through the menu.
And my question is more, what incentive does the player have for playing this before the base game.
