That sounds wonderful, even the lonely part. I feel we don’t appreciate the valance that some time alone can bring since we are social (ish) animals.

That brought back some printer PTSD

While I don’t speak Chinese, I saw some comment mentioning that the protagonist of the apothecary diaries Maomao’s name means literally “cat cat”. She is latter called Xiaomao meaning something like little cat. I wonder if the first one had some similar roots to the way it is used in Thai meaning big cat 😺
The impressive part is that they are also known for being reliable, there are the occasional issues, but overall very trustworthy products.

While I read the title I was thinking “that sounds like Linux with extra steps” - maybe that’s good enough for some discussion.

They only provided replacements after the a class action lawsuit and specifically only replaced them in North America for the longest time. That was on July 2020. Five years later and the flaw is still there on brand new devices. There is nothing to applaud or give credit for.
Edit: to say that $80 is not expensive is to be completely detached from reality. 28% of Americans have savings of less than $1,000.

Not to mention those things are expensive AF. If I had to replace a part on my car that cost 25% of the cost of the entire car EACH time, I would just not buy from that company any longer (which is what I’m doing). Not sure why this person is writing paragraphs and paragraphs of excuses for Nintendo.

Also we don’t pay taxes but will fuck up the roads with the extra weight. Good luck driving over potholes suckers!

As the saying goes, the average person isn’t very smart, and by definition half of the population is even less savvy.

They did in 2020, no Biden or Kamala cult shit compared to what we see from the other party in 2016 and 2024 (and leading up to and between really).

The left isn’t putting “I did that stickers” into all the stupid shit that’s more expensive now after a few months of a new presidency or wearing Biden/Kamala shirts as their identity.

At least now you can rely back with “can you also provide feedback for #1 & #3?”
Repeat until all items are cleared. Not perfect, but at least you don’t have to waste time rewording a follow-up email.

I hated event Pokémon with a passion growing up. I bought my game boy on the US, but I would live half of the year in a country neglected by Nintendo, once back on the states for the working season (my parents) you could only get them by traveling somewhere stupid like New York (I lived in the other coast). Even when they started using mall wifi on game stores as events I still always associated it with a life I would never have and didn’t even bother as I could never legitimately complete a Pokédex so why try to start now. I can see how that would work in Japan perhaps, but maybe the country kids felt left out as well.

Mint is pretty good, but I found the update center GUI app to always fail to update things like Firefox with some mirror error (regardless of whether you told it to use it or not). It happened for my old desktop (now my dad’s main computer), my LG laptop or used HP elitedesk G4. Using “sudo apt update” + “sudo apt upgrade” + Y (to confirm) on the command line was 10x easier and just worked. I do feel better/safe now that they use Linux for internet browsing instead of windows too.

Some phones only. Or at least that is how it used to be when I had one not too long ago. The boot loader had the be unlocked and some apps like banks or Google pay refused to work at the time (or maybe it was if you had root enabled).

Right, not sure why the steering wheel controls would even come into play. Android auto and Apple car play units from 2014 that I bought can directly accept the industry standard steering wheel controls cars use. I was able to use this stereo in a Honda from 06 and a Subaru from 2015. There are also wireless adapters for cars that didn’t have the feature from the factory. If it broke it was a conscious decision.
Poor guy just liked playing soccer, why would you eat him? :(

Forgot about cloud to butt. We might need AI to butt with a backwards compatible blockchain to butt nowadays.

The look would have been completed if they had gone with “Totoya”:
For those interested, there are some vacuum models listed on this project: https://valetudo.cloud/
It can get technical (since they want people to learn), but the documentation is pretty detailed.
