Ok, thanks. Am I still notified by Mullvad whenever there’s an update available? I’ve seen another user mention that it is the case.
I assumed it’s not the case since mullvad states it’s not meant to be used on mont, but is there a way to check?
Well that was it, many thanks!
I’d go for the Pilot Vball, but close enough.
It doesn’t showing disks either, but the SD card is detected and readable on other devices.
Thanks, Filen rings a bell, I’ll make sure to check it out!
Thank you for your reply, the end of security updates is one of my main concerns indeed
Thanks for the advice, it does have an SD slot, but I just tried and the SD is not detected.Tbh, I may have messed it up by trying many things while trying to flash lineage on an old phone that was not detected. I should probably go ask for help on a Linux forum and try to get this fixed before upgrading.
Damn autocorrect, thanks for the heads up!
I can recommend this piece from Hobo Johnson (“why socialism by Albert Einstein”)

This megathread is garbage, it lists quora and twitter threads as sources.
I appreciate a someone making the effort to debunk but your megathread is absolute garbage, I checked a couple links, got redirected toward twitter and quora threads, so ty but don’t spread misinformation.
Thank you for mentioning it, I’ve set up encryption end currently testing matrix with element as client, we’ll see how it works out
Yup, love SimpleX, but the web interface is really a key feature to get my contacts to migrate
Doesn’t it now require signing in with fb, google or some crap like that?
Interesting option, I’ll look into it!
Dop@lemmy.worldto Privacy@lemmy.ml•7 Things You Should Know Before Switching to GrapheneOS1·8 months agoFair enough. I’m not in the US & I don’t know how things are going there, but here we also have the opportunity to use the same ID for different gvt services (or to use specific ID), but nothing is required for electronic payment (although the credit card is obviously linked to your identity), and overall I barely have to use my account on any of these services, unless I have a request which really occurs a couple times a year max.
And we can log on the website, no need to use any app, which work juste fine even with a VPN.
Dop@lemmy.worldto Privacy@lemmy.ml•7 Things You Should Know Before Switching to GrapheneOS4·8 months agoI mean it may be pretty well done and thus ‘safe’ (curious if said app is open source?), but it sounds like you, as an individual, are tracked for most of your activities. Is cash still a mainstream option for payment?
Also, it’s probably a costly stretch and really depends on your threat model, but could still have a phone with said app for any activity that requires it, and another one running GOS for a more private use.
Thanks!
