Steam has a bad UI, but at least I can actually find what I’m fucking looking for. I like GOG, but holy shit Galaxy is awful. I ended up having to use the website to look for Icewind Dale because the search function doesn’t actually show you results from the store.

I think if an attacker has access to Ring 0, you’re already screwed anyway.
FangedWyvern42@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the most petty/pointless/pedantic hill you're willing to die on?11·10 months agoI haven’t heard that term before, but it’s way better than character action. Plus, it actually fits for games that use similar mechanics but are technically different genres, like ULTRAKILL.
Gimp and Blender are both available on Linux. VS Code is on Linux (most coding stuff is on Linux). Linux file explorers work pretty well (Dolphin, for example). I’d recommend Kubuntu, KDE neon or Linux Mint for the distro, all are pretty similar in appearance to Windows. It won’t take much learning with them.
Wine can run most of those, not all. You can still dual boot Windows if you need to (VMs are an option, but they aren’t always the best).
Personally, no. Most people probably brought their cars before Musk went totally nuts, or they simply didn’t know. Plus, not everyone can just get rid of their car because of the CEO of the company that made it.
