I’m guessing you probably go faster than 0.9C after six months, given that the difference is 1 year.

Earth’s gravity being what it is a blessing cause it means we can do interstellar travel faster.
Is it because of our position?
As in, is it fair to say in terms of potential gravitational energy, that we are basically outside of the “centre” of sun’s gravity?

I get that the devs aren’t popular but it’s fully open source isn’t it?

184·5 days agoRight? I really don’t get it.
It’s the law of diminishing returns. When we went from 480p to 720p, it was a huge jump, something everyone noticed.
But the jump to 1080p was much less noticeable, to the point that people just thought its no different than 720p.
Now we have 4K, and most people stream, so it’s a bad bitrate ensuring it doesn’t look good all so the consumer feels like they are getting more cause 4K sounds cool.
I’m sooo glad 8K is not becoming a thing.
I don’t find this hard to believe at all.
Tried to play halo 3 campaign for the first time a little while back.
It really felt aged, like an upgraded ps2 game essentially.
And this was the pc version mind you.
But what if it’s a slow burn instead of a bang?
Also, remember how eastern Roman Empire kept going, on an unrelated note, Canada’s economy is actually doing decent compared to the US.

Nahh, the feather makes them pop instead of being just giant lizards.

The bigger the star, the faster it burns.

1·12 days agoI have a windows 11 installation without an account. You got to get an alternative image (I got LTSC).
I was really hoping there would be a jailbroken version of windows by now, you know a version that doesn’t update and doesn’t have any bloatware.
I guess it’s just not worth it given how far Linux has advanced.

I can leave everything I own in a storage space, if I can’t then I don’t own it.

My computer’s startup beep gets a pass. That little noise is sooo reassuring to hear.

I meant whether we are farther away from the sun or not. As in, would it take less energy to hit the sun if we started from Mercury.
But now I realize that it’s our momentum given earths orbit. So I guess it would be harder from mercury cause it’s going faster?
