Sure, but gathering wood takes a lot of effort and energy. It’s an option if you don’t have the filters, but the original question was why not distill if boiling and filtering ends up in “not great”.
If I have to survive, and I can do with boiling and filtering, I’ll take “not great” water over spending hours gathering and chopping wood to keep a fire going long enough to vaporize a liter of water.
And a massive amount of fuel.
Have you ever tried to evaporate a liter of water? It takes a lot of energy to do so. Fun for a science project, but if you need enough to stay alive/be comfortable, it’s a lot easier to bring water.

The same worries exist here too though. The blood bank isn’t allowed to pay you for your plasma, but it’s absolutely a for-profit organisation that runs on selling your plasma to pharmaceutical companies.

Are their taller lighthouses that are not land-based? Are they floating?
The issue isn’t so much that I’m cutting myself, but that I end up with multiple very small wounds, roughly the size of a hair/hairsack. Like my shave is just a little too close?
I have an adjustable handle, Merkur 50C I believe. I set it to the least aggressive setting, and am trying all different brands of blades, but so far there’s little difference.
I’ve tried many things, but still getting many small wounds. With the grain doesn’t get as close a shave.
I have a block of aluin, which I think is the same thing? It helps, but it isn’t magic. I’m not applying pressure, but still I get many very small wounds.
In my experience it’s also the best way to show up at the office with a bloody neckline
