Just your typical internet guy with questionable humor
Coming from a 'murican, it’s safer to assume they can’t name a single country when given a map
I’m almost inclined to look up a YT video showing his reactions to the messages that really hit him
Nearly everything is priced in dollars and I’m too fucking broke and Brazilian to pay the asking price most of the time.
OP just wants to kiss that long, blueish tongue
It is I, I am in OP’s shower!
Medical work, too. Several exam machines only work with Windows. I’ve heard once that “wine’s pretty good nowadays”, which completely ignores the detail that it isn’t tested with said equipment and its drivers.
Anything related to engineering, whether civil or mechanical, also goes with either Windows or Mac, because the free CAD options don’t hold a candle to AutoCAD and others.
Lastly, there’s no FOSS alternative to completely replace Microsoft Active Directory, so offices where 90% of the work is done on the web browser won’t bother because they’ll be losing control over individual machines.
There’s so much focus on “me” and “freedom” that they often forget there’s a whole damn world of different needs around them.
Yup, I also specified Dark Heresy because there’s a newer, different 40k RPG, Wrath and Glory, that uses a very different set of mechanics and has an expansion for playing as Eldar. I can’t speak about it, haven’t taken the time to read or ever had the chance to play
The 40k ones that follow on Dark Heresy all play the same way as WFRP: basic attributes with most values being a 0-100 range, lots of skills to sink points in, overall same rules for combat with similar damage and critical damage chart. Mechanically, they’re all effectively the same game, changing only the kind of adventures you end up having (depressed soldiers in Only War, lawless space hijinks in Rogue Trader, spehss mareens in Deathwatch, evil corruption and worship in Black Crusade)
Calling the perfect game mean is an act of treason. Please proceed to the nearest Traitor-B-Gone tube for correction.
I GM’d WFRP 2e a few times. In one session, a big ram that doubled as a mount for one of the players was slowly becoming a vessel for a daemon, culminating with an attack against the owner. Missed the first attack, but the second was a critical*: 27 points of damage (player characters usually have 12-14 hit points), which made it a one-hit-fatality, ripping the head clean out of the body. I kinda felt bad for the player, but the scene was just too good
* In 2e, criticals are only when rolling for damage. If the D10 comes out 10, it’s a critical and you roll again, adding up. Rolling 10s again also count as critical and let you roll again.
No, that’s the creator of Heathcliff
I suspect that person would also justify littering in order to “ensure street cleaners don’t lose their jobs”
I remember him somehow managing to get banned by his autoban-bot on that community
Ops, good catch, I mixed them up.
Even Nathan Poe would be amazed at the speed that that devolved into nazi comparisons
Can I at least lick it?
Adding to zero’s post, you can see most of these things in Castlevania SotN. There are very few times you’re stopped to have some dialogue and it never lasts more than a minute. There is one key item to open one door, everything else you’re supposed to explore whenever you acquire the proper skill (high jump, bat form, mist form)
Don’t be afraid of putting most content “out of the way”, away from the main path. Be sure to leave a number of “you need this power/skill” places around the “main intended path”, so the player might have that “aha!” moment when they get a new skill. \
Speaking of skills, don’t make them useful only at super specific places or situations. Give many places for them to be used and abused. “But this is too OP” - just put some situations where it’s not as OP, rather than giving a nerf that makes nobody use it outside the mandatory places. Mist form in SotN makes you invulnerable, super OP, right? Have fun in this long ass corridor (where wolf form shines, instead)
Personally, I much prefer tutorials to be optional, like you have to manually select the “tutorial” menu option.
lol, I remember when I started playing No Man’s Sky, I made a post on reddit pointing out that more recent nvidia drivers fucked up the game’s framerate big time, like, if I was standing still and moved the mouse around, the framerate would tank. With a previous driver (416 or older), the whole game was butter smooth. I kept playing with that driver until the game had an update that forced you to have newer drivers. Performance was still shit.
It’s an landlocked equivalent to the Bermuda Triangle
I roll to seduce the assassin. If that fails, I’ll barrel roll instead
