2·7 days agoAs far as laws regarding digital rights / freedoms go, we have no chance in Australia anyway as the major parties are all against them.
In fact the coalition has an even worse track record than labor.

1·1 month agoIs there a setting that can be enabled at the management end to allow Graphene to pass the device health check?
When my employer rolled out intune I had to get a second device to run their ms apps. This was after them trying to figure out a way to get them to work on Graphene.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•people who tried HelloFresh, what was your experience with them?
8·2 months agoTried ages ago. Meals were OK but quite basic.
Was not impressed with the quality and freshness of fruit and vegetables they supplied. Worse than supermarkets and not even comparable to farmers markets.

4·4 months agoI have the Google camera app installed but not the photos app. The only thing is the button inside the camera app that shows a thumbnail of the last picture you took doesn’t work as it’s just a shortcut to the photos app.
Everything else about the Google camera app seems to work on Graphene. I didn’t give it network permissions either.
I think there might be more flexibility there, but certainly all the ones I have seen are in a bun yes.
Did you know that over here in Perth the bunnings sausage sizzle comes in hot dog buns?

897·5 months agoMaybe I’m just getting old, but the idea of “verifying” my real identity to a faceless website or mobile app is abhorrent.
I guess it doesn’t help that governments in some countries (UK, Australia that I know of) are encouraging this bullshit with Trojan horse laws claiming to protect children from adult websites / social media.
Can’t help but think there is also an element of pot meet kettle here, when users of an app designed to dox and slander people without their knowledge are now the ones getting doxxed themselves.
As an Australian, it’s Irish accents that I struggle with the most.
Scottish I can deal with, probably from watching shows like Still Game and Burnistoun.
Most other UK accents are not to difficult to understand.
One odd thing, I was watching an USA wildlife documentary that was set in South Africa. I noticed they put forced subtitles on when ever the South African’s spoke in English. I found that bizarre as I’ve never had any trouble understanding when South Africans speak English.
