But why? Especially looking at the power supply.

11 and the revelation was delivered by a wet dream. I mean I looked at dicks online before “to compare” but did not realize I was attracted to it. After realizing that it just took about 5 years to start sharing that with my closest friends and another 8 years to share with my family and other friends. Started dating with 26 and have been in a happy relationship ever since (though I would love more fuck buddies, as I am still rather inexperienced there).

Linux@lemmy.ml•Bazzite just delivered over a petabyte of ISOs in a single month
38·2 months agoSorry, my bad. 0,36$ per million class b operations. Of course there will be slightly more operations than downloads (e.g. people/bots sarting downloads and aborting them), but still probably cheap.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Bazzite just delivered over a petabyte of ISOs in a single month
69·2 months agoShould be manageable and it is probably less than you would imagine. Just checked real quick: the isos load from download.bazzite.gg, which is a Cloudflare IP. So they are either using it as CDN or even more likely use Cloudflares R2 storage for isos - which would mean they pay for storage (~15$/TB) and operations, but not for egress. This is seems ideal for few but huge files.
So for a single iso (~7 GB) they would pay 0,105$ for storage monthly and additionally 0,36$ per million of class B operations (reads/downloads). Of course they host more than one ISO, but for this example it would have been downloaded about ~150000 times to reach the petabyte.
So yeah, the ISO download is probably less of a problem. (Disclaimer: lot of assumptions, check in with a bazzite dev for clarity)
And since we aren’t in the self hosting community: You can also pay pikapods to host it for you: https://www.pikapods.com/apps#notes
(That being said, I personally prefer Obisidian with Git Sync)

Tbh, sounds a bit like a cursed use case for a password manager, but I am curious how you set that up.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Can we all agree kids shouldn't be watching Porn?
92·5 months agoBecause I have not seen it mentioned yet: the classification of porn and non-porn is often rather arbitrary on these systems, which leads to overblocking usually in the LGBTQ area. So while porn may be reduced (but not really because there always is more porn) it leads to blocking of educational material of a vulnerable minority.
That being said: if teens are interested in porn they will get it. These puritanical views of humanity are honestly naive.
