Beer, motorcycles, and bird boxes.
I’m reconsidering if it is actually a terrible name for a band. I saw Piss Bath supporting Dead Kennedys a couple of years ago. It’s probably the only support band name I’ve remembered, so in that respect it’s quite effective.
It’s even more annoying when it’s random people asking me.

news@lemmings.world•Trump impeachment not a top priority if Dems win back House, Jeffries saysEnglish
28·7 天前Don’t forget that they also prioritise giving corporations and oil companies everything they want too. Then, after they have made sure that the billionaires are happy, along with the arms manufacturers, the auto industry, and the healthcare profiteers, they might notice that their constituents exist. Or not. Probably not.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•The original contractors in the TENET universe must have felt odd, installing shattered glass into a new frame and being unable to spackle-out bullet holes in the walls they were building...English
8·12 天前Yes, in a nutshell. Tenet looks lovely, but the time consistency is appalling. The physics is also broken, and the whole thing just becomes a mess if you start thinking about it. There are very few consistent time travel films. Back to the Future is good, and the TV series Dark handles it brilliantly.

Technology@lemmy.world•Atlassian Will Collect Jira and Confluence Data by Default to Train AI ModelsEnglish
6·14 天前They are already sucking at Microslop’s AI-encrusted teat. It’s a major UK university, and there used to be a mix of systems, with a lot of really good functional software written in-house. Over the past decade, as they have been retired, they were replaced with MS-based turd-rolled-in-glitter ecosystems that drive me up the wall. The old stuff wasn’t pretty, but it worked and did all you needed and no more. It now feels like some sort of Rube Goldberg machine with fireworks.
