2·9 months agoI must say that the recommendation section on youtube for me is spot on! Though I spent years on youtube constantly liking and disliking content. But I think it learned me quite well.
When im tired of recommendations I move to subscriptions. And 5 hours just passed by…

8·9 months agoWell if your thumbnail is not good enough and catchy people will not watch it. Which wont make the channel profitable. Which will cause it to not exist.
I hope you know that usually youtubers will not even start making the video if they don’t have a killer thumbnail to it. Thats the platform.
I want to. But I must say its a bit difficult. Almost all lemmy instances are a specific echo chamber of opinions, thoughts and political views. The moment I say even the smallest thing out of the “norm” im banned.
Its just a cool movie with ok script.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How does this pic show that Elon Musk doesnt know SQL?
0·10 months agoAs a data engineer for the past 20+ years: There is absolutely no fucking way that the us gov doesnt use sql. This is what shows that he’s stupid not only in sql but in data science in general.
Regarding duplications: its more nuanced than those statements each side put. There can be duplications in certain situations. In some situations there shouldnt be. And I dont really see how duplications in a db is open to fraud.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a technology that was cooler in its older iterations?
1·1 year agoAt least for the Amiga it’s because its very simple to code on. Today when developing a game you need to depend onnso much shit and everything is a lot more complicated.

1·1 year agoNot a chance. I might be in trouble if I expose this. As a data engineer integrity is very important. But trust me you know the company.

5·2 years agoI worked for an online payment company you all know. Many eployees have access to the main DB which holds all transactions and names and everything in clear text. You could basically find out all PII (personal identification information) of any celebrity you wanted given they had anaccount. Address, phone number, credit card and all. If you knew a bit of SQL you could basically find whoever person you wanted and get purchase history and all.
Cant say I didnt use this to find stuff about my exes or various celebrities.

Disconnect his apartment from electricity. Maybe his breakers are outside. His main water valve is definitely outside, close it frequently. While he showers. Make him tired, fond out when he sleeps then ring his doorbell, call his phone, knock the door, etc…
