Thats exactly what it is, but it wasn’t an error so much as bad judgment by everyone involved. This was the intended result.
Many small creators also sell directly on social media. Unfortunately that’s mostly corporate owned social media, but at least they dont typically get a cut of the sale.
Even still, local creators will often pop up at events and conventions and stuff. They may not have a permanent presence, but you can still often buy stuff from them in person if you keep up with where they’ll be.
I used transmission for years, but the larger my library got the more issues I had. Currently using Qbit and loving the categories for easier management, especially with the *arr suite.
Oh nooo did you not like the consequences of making a unilateral and extremely unpopular descision? Better start silencing the dissenters quick!
I dont have to prove shit to you and you aren’t trying to understand. If you wanted to understand that trump is a fascist or Kamala isn’t any any way a communist, you can find PILES of jourlism and academic works discussing those topics - you just have to leave the right-wing news media bubble.
Your entitlement to my time and this space as a place where you can demand proof for basic political concepts is the absolute definition of sealioning.
I strongly disagree with this decision and the reasoning behind it. Blahaj is, in my opinion, the best place for this community specifically because of the strong moderation and policies of Ada and other admins here.
Lemmy.world is also the worst instance I can think of outside of the big three tankie instances. It contributes further to the centralization of Lemmy as a whole (since 196 has been one of the most active communities on the entire platform). In my opinion, the .world crowd’s liberal and pro-colonialist/capitalist tendencies are a terrible fit for this community.
I’d have rather seen Blahaj defederate from .world than 196 move there, even if it meant less content and engagement. At least the cultural values of the community wouldn’t have been compromised.
You want Orpheus or Redacted. I’m not on either yet, but supposedly the interview to Orpheus isn’t too bad. RED is also notoriously hard to keep your ratio on.
You could also work your way there through the invite forums on the trackers you already have, if they have them and you’re in good enough standing to access them.
^ classic sealioning
You’re just completely unbounded by reality huh?
Seconding the other person asking which model you’ve got. I don’t see Linux compatibility listed on the web pages for the few models I just looked at. I also didnt see them list an included dongle, but thats something I’d be very interested in. Also do they all detect as Xbox controllers, or only the Xbox style ones?
Lol apparently the juicy stuff is every meme my friends have shared with each other for the last several years
I just recently finished The Dispossessed (as well as the other Hainish novels) and I thoroughly loved it. Le Guin is an incredible writer and so imaginative in her depiction of an anarchic society and it’s challenges. All of her other books I’ve ever read have antihierarchical or at least anticapitalist themes too, although in a less overt way than The Dispossessed.

Y’all could have saved me the clicks if I had checked here first. I just went through this same thought process
