Darth is dark in German. Vader is Dutch for father (Vater is German for father).
George Lucas actually named Darth Vader. The content in the movies is made up.
“Dark Father”; he was given the name for fairly obvious reasons by George Lucas I would think.
They hang out in my yard. When they are in my yard I walk out holding my dog so they see him. They watch while I walk out into the yard and I say “I’m letting him down now”, then as I lower him one of them invariably lets out a really unique short screech and they all run off to the woods followed by my dog running full speed, stopping at the tree line, and then carrying on doing his business as the deer stand off in the trees watching him in the yard, waiting for us to go back inside so they can come hang out in the yard again.
I plug my phone into a DEX dock under my desk that connects to a 22” monitor and a normal keyboard and mouse. I think the other person was offering that type of solution already exists.
I’m on team tab 100% I guess I was saying if someone felt they had to use spaces then they shouldn’t handicap everyone else because of their choice and an interpreter could normalize their code.
My only windows machine is my work laptop with windows 11 docked to three monitors. The other three are mint, endeavor, and qubes hosting several systems. I prefer Linux but the performance of the work laptop has never been an issue even if I don’t like it. I can reboot, connect to the vpn, have word relaunched to a recovered copy, and be back in a teams meeting with outlook open and Jira up in 5 minutes or less. I have to do it once or twice a month because something stupid stops working while I’m in a meeting. These 15 minute reboots, make coffee between, and other similar commentary comes across as wishcasting. There’s plenty of reasons windows sucks. My company has all kinds of stupid agents installed on it that negatively impacts performance also. McAfee was the worst, I’m glad they got rid of that but that wasn’t a windows problem either.
I just ordered this, I love it, thank you
I don’t understand why this is such a big deal for anyone. With all the UI utilities available it would be incredibly easy to have a setting to interpret 5 consecutive spaces as a tab or a tab as 5 consecutive spaces and just let whoever prefers what to choose how they are going to interface with the code. Hell, you could even make it so 5 is the default and have custom consecutive values as an advanced option in the interpreter for edge cases. So many incredibly more challenging issues have been resolved in IDEs, I just don’t get it.
My remote controlled fan sounds like yours except it still has a physical switch on the side of the housing to change direction. I still hate the fan but thought I would share just in case you never checked.
If the key fob battery is dead it still has a physical key that is removed from the key fob to unlock the doors and can still interface with the car via NFC to allow operation of the vehicle once inside (not op but I have a car with that going on so I’m making the assumption).
I guess I can see that, maybe my understanding of words or their implication is incorrect. While I would agree they contain more knowledge I guess that reads different to me than being more knowledgeable. I think that maybe it comes across as anthropomorphizing a dataset of information to me. I could easily be wrong.
Is stringing words together really considered knowledge?
It doesn’t take anymore energy than lifting a wave, which was my prior default. I have started to get involved, I’m just not going to turn a blind eye to anyone anymore.
It hasn’t taken over my life. I have a strong foundation, and people who love me whom I love that aren’t bigots. Everything is politics when politics, so that’s a nonsense statement. I appreciate you sharing your concern from behind your veil.
I completely get it, along with all the folks saying they don’t, won’t, can’t sell their Tesla. I’m also going to flip off every single Tesla I see on the road unless something seriously changes. I’ve spent most of my life with my head in the sand, first time ever donating to politics was sending Harris a weeks pay after she announced following Biden’s disaster debate. I was obviously part of the problem. Since the election I’ve cut out my family, have one friend left, and my wife and kids. I also flip off everyone in my development that had up Trump signs anytime I see them. I’m not going to actively destroy someone else’s property but I’d defend anyone that does. I’m privileged, my breaking point is different, the least I can do is show I’m not another bigot in this backwater country by ensuring my disdain for their hatred is understood. Fuck all of them and the symbolism’s of hate they have built. Even if I somehow found myself in a Tesla I’d at a minimum still be flipping off every one of them I saw on the road and hope every person I passed returned the favor so I’d know where they stood. Fuck them and fuck anyone carrying around their symbol of hatred hiding behind their veil of privilege.
Well you had me until the very end. Guess it’s Myanmar or Liberia for me.
I would also kill for a fun engaging evolution style game. I’ve never found something I like but I gave up looking after the let down from spore. It’s actually when I stopped playing video games so many years ago. I actually pirated the game recently to see if my disappointment was unjustified so I’m happy to see it listed multiple times here. If theirs ever a great evolution strategy role playing type game that comes out I’ll try video games again but the disappointment from spore really hit me and I’d also need to see compelling gameplay from a real person to ever give one a shot again. Just typing this out makes me realize how silly it all sounds but spore was such a disappointment to me that I quit playing video games all together.
I’m going to add frigate to this one. Going with frigate for my home camera solution brought me to Home Assistant.
In his Substack newsletter, Snyder encourages people to start organizing now (2024) in order to win both local and national elections.[15] He notes that On Tyranny was written in a defensive mode and that if its lessons are learned and implemented now things could get much better in 2025 for those who want to maintain democracy and the rule of law in the United States.[15] Snyder has noted that while Trump did not succeed in overturning the 2020 election, it was practice for a successful coup and his supporters will be better prepared for 2024.[16] He also notes that in 2020 important individuals and institutions were aware Trump might not want to peacefully transfer power if he lost the elections and that they prepared to make sure lawful transfer did occur.[16]
Our move to XCP-ng Hypervisors with XOA has been a great experience.
