What is it like to live with her? Is she crawling around freely in your apartment? Does she bite? How did she feel about being covered up in vegan butter?
Thank you for donating organs! Not to the snake (right?), I just recognize the card in the background.
…if Lemmy had users in the Millions I think it would be much better.
At least until a certain threshold is reached. I think part of Lemmy’s charm comes from it being a small community. Though maybe this can be sustained by having more active sublemmys forming smaller groups again.
I love how you can always expect elaborate answers to your questions here. Also there seem to be less trolls and unfriendly comments in general. Pleasant culture.

I don’t see why robots would make our life better, minor improvements comparable to the invention of dishwashers aside. Sure, in theory, they could do work, so we don’t have to. But we have seen in the past that productivity gains do not result in less work for us. The problems lie in the way we structured our society and this will not magically change just because we have robots.
Thank you for elaborating!
What are the advantages?

Good idea. I wonder though, if children can keep up the motivation. I do not want to bash the youth in a “everything was better in the old days” manner. It’s just that games nowadays are way more attention seeking. Flashy animations, sound, level design, etc, all specifically made to keep you going.
Edit: Spelling.

Is this an idiom I don’t understand as a non-native speaker?
I like the idea in Buddhism, that you are precious/valuable from the moment you are born. You already achieved plenty in your past life, which is why you were born as a human. Therefore, there is no need for self-hatred or for pressure to perform.
Thanks, I’ll do my best saving up enough money will be hard for me though…
Nice, thanks for sharing!
How much money did you save up and what monthly costs of living are you expecting? Would love to hear more about your situation!
I like the idea of self-improvement in the sense of becoming even more yourself. I believe there is some kind of path(s) in each of us. It takes effort to recognise it – you can say: accept it – and even more to actually pursue it filtering out from the external noise all influences that do not fit. We all have ideas, dreams and wishes, but we have to listen carefully to hear them.

So the sun have been a giant one-directional LED all along?
They could also choose not to. Also, I have never heard of any game not selling well due to piracy. It just leads to producers not earning quite as much money as they could theoretically (though it is debatable if pirating people really would buy the game instead of just refraining completely).
How is torrenting “making it worse for everyone else”?
I am not sure, if memes alone contain enough information. When I do not understand an interesting meme, I look it up, so I learn from the context consisting of news (at least indirectly) not the meme itself.
With these measures, there won’t be a free market, which means the creation of value will be regulated. I don’t see why you would call it capitalism.
I have mixed feelings about rage bait. Sure it is funny for folks, who are not as mind twisted. But is this worth it, considering the harm done by affirming hateful opinions? Most of the “victims” will probably never find out they have been hoaxed (by the rage baiters).
