craftyindividual@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Which scene in a movie/series do you think didn't make any sense to the plot ?7·8 months agoTo clarify, do you mean it wouldn’t make sense that his body part would dissapear as they were severed in an alternative past. Or do you mean it doesn’t belong on the plot/add to the story?

craftyindividual@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the most polarizing thing you've ever done or said?1·9 months agoI mean forget trails, there’s horse shit all over my city centre every time there’s a football match :(
craftyindividual@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•without saying how old you are, how old are you?4·9 months agoThat poll was revealing, was not expecting average of 30-40 :0 Good idea though!

It made it a shade easier to overcome OCD - BUT a decade on I feel drowsy, oversleeping, dulled intelligence and creativity, difficult to feel pleasure “driving with the handbrake on” These meds need to have a yearly review factored in - 10+ years of use make it almost impossible to come off (even with good advice and the liquid form (that can taper 1mg change at a time) I had to BEG for in the UK. The standard advice of splitting pills for moving doses means a change far too large to handle (2.5mg is a massive drop). The brain and all its systems get very used to having more serotonin and resist this change with terror, confusion and upset. I’m on 7mg after starting with 10mg then 9, 8… and it gets tougher with each drop (no professional had any advice to give except try to come off in a few weeks :0 ).

craftyindividual@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What Film Are You Surprised Didn't Get A Sequel?2·10 months agoBruno Gans, Swiss, he was great in 'Wings of Desire".
Like Godzilla.
Push both until the shit is ALL GONE. Don’t be like my housemate :(
craftyindividual@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is second/third home ownership ethical in this economy?8·11 months agoWe have this nightmare in the UK. I’m very fortunate to have a small house just about paying mortgage on a tiny wage, but not really big enough to rent a room. I feel bad for people in their 40s (even couples) who can’t afford a starter home because all the properties are locked up in a rental market.
craftyindividual@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•People who pray at night to your God. What do you pray for and has any of it become true?5·11 months agoI pray to calm down. I ask for genuine connection with others, the wellbeing of my country, a wife, that my customers at work would enjoy themselves and we would make ends meet. Ask and you will receive.
Definitely making progress this year but it’s been a slow road to 40. Friends with a common interest, that’s finally coming about.
Jury duty wasn’t fun (child abuse case), but it was one hell of an education. I’m still greatful to have had such smart fellow jurors so we could really consider everything. You get to see how the world works.
Our railways are fucked, our healthcare system is hanging by a thread. I’m so grateful for NHS care and investigations in the last year - dread to think how much Americans would have to pay to find out they have a shitty disease, let alone treat it.
Remember the Levi’s classic ad 1985, now I feel old.
