I agree with the rest of your comment but i love mastodon’s android app design and the web app design. They weren’t so great before but right now, they’re way better than either Twitter or Bluesky (which is basically Twitter anyway).
lastweakness@lemmy.worldto Fediverse memes@feddit.uk•Just reached 20 millions todayEnglish5·7 months agobut you need to do the same for email…
And that’s a huge part of the reason why email has basically been centralized into Gmail for the general user… I find the e-mail argument to always be odd given how it’s literally proof of this problem…
I miss Unity :(
Yes, it was bad in quite a few ways, but it also felt like a truly thoughtful desktop experience. Global Menu, HUD, merged maximized headers, etc

And there’s no competition to OneNote and Office in Open Source land.
I’m curious what is missing between OneNote and something like Obsidian or any of the other notes apps.
I completely understand office though, i find OnlyOffice good enough that i run it even on my Windows setups but I can imagine there being features, keybindings, etc that are not present in any of the alternatives. I’ve also seen a lot of people switch to using Google Docs exclusively since it helps with collaboration anyway, but I hate how poorly it runs…
because I need shit to just function.
Yeah some things are just not there yet too, like VR… So understandable
I get what you’re trying to do here but the thing is, bluetooth and nvidia are terrible on every platform tbh… At the very least, nvidia laptops on Windows for my friends haven’t been as stable as my AMD laptop on Arch has been for me. I hear nvidia on desktop is solid, so that might be the issue here though. Which also reminds me, nvidia on Linux isn’t really an issue anymore, they work as well as their windows counterpart basically and nearly every distro makes them really easy to install.
And Bluetooth on Linux right now is just as terrible as on Windows, which is to say, it works pretty well.

Idk if that’s the case, but playing devil’s advocate here
What Google’s response actually looks like:
It sounds like there might be a misunderstanding about how foldable phones work!
Foldable phones are not inflated. They are highly sophisticated electronic devices with a flexible screen and a complex hinge mechanism that allows them to bend or fold.
Here’s how they generally work:
So, to be clear, you don’t “inflate” a foldable phone like a balloon. You simply unfold it to reveal the larger screen, and fold it back up for a more compact form factor.
