I’ve replaced everything Google can do with self-hosted services. No more YouTube, Docs, Nest, TV, Photos, etc.

GitHub
I do a lot of self-hosting.

Dude, I feel you there. Also, your parents seem to rather keep up appearances than to help their son. That’s toxic.
You shouldn’t have to fight this shit on your own. I hope you’re able to find like-minded people online that have a personal understanding of what you’re going through and are good examples heading in the right direction.
Oh, and it is a scary time to be outside nowadays. You’re more aware of what’s going on, it seems, than your folks.

A bowl of Raisin Bran with milk an and 2-3 cups of coffee. On weekends, I do pancakes with bacon and eggs.

I go for US southern BBQ, particularly a brisket sandwich and sausage with cornbread, mac & cheese, and some collard greens or slaw.

Blaine really is a pain.

Jeff Goldblum’s Jurassic Park monologue feels appropriate here.
“You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and before you even knew it you had it. You patented it and packaged it and slapped it on a plastic lunch box, and now your selling it!”
Fish mate inside of a sea cucumber’s anus.

I knew this was a shit timeline, but not “Street Trash IRL” bad.

Bulgarian choir singing. It’s beautiful, powerful, and a little alien IMO.

The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails. It always brings me back to my brooding highschool days.
I find the time to do it, but is mostly with my kids and their games. I got them into my Steam library, so it works out. We’re plowing through Subnautica currently, and they absolutely love it.

That’s quite the record. I hope you have lots of keepsakes from them.

Great shows. I’ve seen them 3 times and they killed every time. I hope you get your chance.
Thanks! I switched over to private email provided by my domain host. It was a cheap and easy alternative. I haven’t done this for my family, though, since I feel that’s their call whether to stay plugged in. As far as labels go, I don’t really use them, so there wasn’t much need for compromise.
