I don’t have an answer about online methods… I went through the phase of how to meet people as well, and eventually decided to join / try out some group activities. I did some rookie dragon boating, table tennis, stand up paddle, and eventually met my forever spouse as she taught me scuba diving. PS: other than the scuba diving, those were all free activities for beginners. Good luck

It is a very big ask… For chat i moved to Signal and convinced my closest relatives and friends to humor me and get the app, but they didn’t let go of Whatsapp. It’s lonely but i enjoy the quietness, and do not miss the endless groups!

nadram@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Could Microsoft/the USA technically turn off Windows and Office for Europe?9·2 months agoThey can send all of their online services like Office 365 and Copilot, as well as sales or registration of Windows very quickly. I wish they would! I’d love to see Linux and Libreoffice take over, and maybe a new European player on the market. That would be a boon for consumers worldwide.

Move on, get your mind off of it by doing something new and wild (bungee?) or something familiar that never involved that person

nadram@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•what is that one thing that pisses you off but you hate to admit it?49·6 months agoI absolutely hate sorting my trash. I loved the idea, and contributing to the recycling cycle. I hate that I’m expected to do the effort and fined for my mistakes, all while knowing that a) big corp gets a lot of slack for creating pollution, for not using better packaging, for directly polluting their manufacturing facilities’ surroundings etc… b) plastic is mostly not recycled.
