My Ass Gapes Achingly

Why don’t we just change the revenue model for power companies. I understand they need money to maintain the infrastructure and pay employees. If power generation becomes so cheap that it can’t sustain the company then don’t rely on that for revenue. I’d rather pay a flat rate for the infrastructure and operating costs than a fluctuating generation charge. And public utilities should not be for profit.

I only use Edge at work because of some screen refresh glitch with Chrome. Whenever I would do something in Outlook, the entire screen would blink for a second. Very annoying. I never put a ticket in because Edge worked fine. Now I will have to enter ticket hell.

This is big tech trying to kill FOSS.

The Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark - Carl Sagan

I was just thinking this. I wish I had won one of those billion dollar lottery jackpots. I would have lavished so much money on FOSS.

My mom was the one who loved Christmas. She loved decorating and shopping and the music. She died in 2010 and it has never been the same. It might have been okay if we still had small children in our family but all her grandkids were grown up by the time she died. We didn’t even have any kind of celebration the first few years after. So, Christmas died with her.

Oh Dr. Mike, a little more gray at the temples. Why must time pass?

Had those long before I hit 30.

I look over to my cat to make sure he’s sleeping.

I think there are probably some skeletons in the closets of Collective Shout’s members. It’s always projection with these people.

Soooo glad I don’t have to fly anymore.
Going to church is a way to make people conform. Maybe, once upon a time, we needed belief in supernatural beings to cope with the world. I choose to believe in the world the Enlightenment started. I wasn’t raised with any religion and I still learned how to be a good person and good member of society.
The guy on the right has his face obscured by the white part of the flag he is holding. Also, if you look at the guy on the left, you can see the label on his jeans is slightly blurred. Looks like the person snapping the picture either moved their phone or the guys were still moving slightly.

Isn’t the solution to train people to get past HR? I know it would infuriate me to have to do this but HR needs to be treated as an obstacle. Remember when personality tests first started appearing. There were people teaching how to give the answers HR wanted.
I live in the same town as a Raytheon subsidiary. I’ll never know what happened.
