How do you become an expert taster? Did you have to taste every batch to make sure it comes out tasting “correct”? How do they manage that on such a large scale?

Your local restaurant has probably raised prices slightly but nowhere near as much as their costs have actually gone up.

Many of the big restaurant group-owned places near me have raised prices and enshittified service, but my trusty local places are holding ground.

I’m not so devious, it’s mainly just tricks to maximize the amount of points/miles you can get via credit cards and travel, which you can then redeem for travel. Usually in business class!

From what I’ve read about working at Chinese tech companies, you will not get to work remotely. In fact, you will be required to work in an office for 10 hrs a day instead of coming and going as you please.

Just look at the TSMC factory in AZ as an example. Taiwanese work expectations are not very compatible with how top US talent wants to work.

I truly don’t know how some people work if not in a manic state for 10 hrs straight because you have a bunch of stuff due at the same time

I guess I could spread out the work, but sometimes I’m passively thinking of the best way to tackle it and other times it’s a task I don’t like doing.
