To those saying it’s not possible - modern cameras are highly complicated devices, constantly using little motors to change focus and exposure, driven by AI informed algorithms. Leave it up to some nerd to device a pattern and/or material that could maybe drive those sensors and motors nuts, or something like that.

I have heard you can get (some? Most? Not sure) VST Plugins that only exist for windows running on Linux with wine and Carla. Haven’t tried it myself, though

That’s the thing, I wish we could just switch all enterprises to Linux, but Microsoft developed a huge ecosystem that really does have good features. Unless something comparable comes up in the Linux world, I don’t see Europe becoming independent of Microsoft any time soon

But can you also get all the enterprise features they have with Linux? Like, backups, mobile device management, identity and access management, MFA? All integrated tightly and easily deployable from a portal?

Another commenter here mentioned Russinovich’s books, which I just started reading, and those webcasts are really fun, thanks a lot! I think he is the guy to follow to properly understand this stuff. Let’s see how far I can get :)

I’m sooo relieved and happy about this, and surprised, most people told me I was completely screwed and I would have to redo the floor, now it looks good as new 😅

I fixed it really easily and well, without sanding, with the steaming method recommended here! Photos are in a comment further below:)

I didn’t need to get down to the wood, I poked tiny holes in the varnish and steamed them, worked like a charm. Photos are in another comment further up, thank you though!

I did it! It was really easy and quick! These are before and after photos: first after the steaming, then after some light polishing of the varnish.
