  • FYI: Roaming on a foreign carrier completely bypass firewall as far as I know…

Mom is visiting China right now and she told me she can visit Youtube on her phone data, but not from my Aunt’s wifi.

Its $50 USD for a 30-day pass with merely 15GB of data on T-Mobile (slowed to like 256kb unlimited afterwards)… feels kinda expensive… but she mostly just want the unlimited phone calls feature tbh

Basically if you manage to get a sim (or eSim, but that requires importing a phone since phones sold in China do not have eSim capability) from outside China with an active plan, you’re good to go.

  • FYI: Anti-AI people are a very small minority of the world.

When more “normies” join in, you’ll see a natural shift into being more “pro AI”

Anecdote: A fucking therapist told me to “just use AI to help you write a resume”… 🧐 (don’t remember how I even got to the topic of resumes)

Yeah… turns out not a good fit, for other reasons… (constantly just be like “go outside” and making me feel so unconfortable and I kinda had an existential crisis on whether or not I belonged in this country)

  • Oh…

    Germophobia…

    🫠

But the more “weird” thing would be:

I use biometrics on phone so the password wont get revealed in public, but I always make sure to disable biometrics before I sleep (or if I would get separated from my phone for any reason, like taking an exam for something, or going through security screening)… sometimes even reboot it if I don’t have any apps that I need to stay opened in the background and don’t mind the inconvienience…

And if somehow the biometrics don’t work, and I have to enter it in public, I make sure to look around for any cameras pointed at me, and try to cover the screen so no cameras can capture the password…

(Do people who use biometrics disable it before sleep, or is that just a “me” thing?)

Also every time I enter a lockscreen password on a phone, I make sure to wipe off the screen and any potential residual fingerprints.

For computers, I just run my fingers through the entire keyboard after entering the password so theres equal amounts of residual fingerprints over the entire keyboard

This is so you can’t try to use some fingerprinting shenanigans to find what keys I pressed and basically recontruct my password…

(I probably look very paranoid lol)

  • Yea I know. I saw Project Hail Mary in an IMAX theater a month ago… so different…

    So immersive…

    Also so loud…

My favorite thing was that quiet sequence and the light flashing sequence

    spoiler

Where the astronaut guy (lol forgot the name already) was like about to die and Rocky went and saved him that sequence…

    So epic

That was the first time I’ve been in a movie theater…

Also is this guy British? Lol, do British people talk like that. Its so funny to see them trying to be as insulting as possible while looking “professional” doing it. xD

  • Noise-Cancelling Headphones…

not to mention any specific ones, just the general concept of it…

    Everything sounds better, more immersive…

Also blocks out family arguments to varying degress of success depending on how much you spend on headphones…

Oh yea btw the first time I watched interstellar was on a cheap android phone with LCD 720p display using the phone speakers… 👀

On the other side of it, Bluetooth Speakers

Can sort of change the atmoshere of a room, feel slightly less “depressing”
